Britney Johnson is a Certified BodyMind Therapist, intuitive healer, and founder of Zen by Brit—a sanctuary for somatic trauma release, nervous system restoration, and divine reconnection. Since 2015, she has dedicated her life to helping others heal through the sacred language of the body.

Britney’s path began long before her professional training. As a child, her grandmother often called her “the family healer,” sensing the spiritual gift she carried. That early recognition sparked a lifelong devotion to understanding the body-mind connection, ancestral healing, and the power of touch as a pathway back to God, love, and the true self.

Her work blends intuitive muscle manipulation, emotional release techniques, breathwork, energetic clearing, and spiritual guidance—creating sessions that feel less like massage and more like an awakening. Clients often leave feeling lighter, freer, and spiritually realigned, describing the experience as a deep release they didn’t know they were carrying.

In early 2026, Britney found herself in Israel when the conflict escalated. Unable to leave for weeks, she experienced first hand what she had spent years helping others through a complete nervous system breakdown. Using every tool she teaches, she regulated herself though one of the most challenging experiences of her life. She came home to San Diego with her son, her partner Reid, her cat, and rebuilt understanding of what this healing work actually requires. That experience lives in every session she offers now.
Britney at Zen by Brit offers transformational healing bodywork in San Diego, California. As a Certified BodyMind Therapist she combines deep therapeutic bodywork, somatic trauma release, nervous system regulation, and intuitive energy work in every session.

Unlike mindset-only approaches, Britney at Zen by Brit works directly with the body through somatic healing and therapeutic bodywork. This body-first approach releases stored trauma and restores nervous system safety in ways that mindset work alone cannot.

Britney believes that:

The body holds every story the mind is not ready to speak.

Healing is not a luxury—it is a birthright.

Trauma is not who you are; it is what you survived.

When the nervous system finally feels safe, the soul remembers its purpose.

God works through safe hands, compassionate presence, and surrendered hearts.

The body is a portal; when you listen, it tells you exactly what it needs to be free.

With every session, Britney invites clients to slow down, tune inward, and reconnect to the wisdom that lives beneath the surface. She sees healing as a sacred partnership: your body leads, she listens, and together, you release what has been weighing you down.

Her mission with Zen by Brit is simple yet profound:

To help people return to the truth of who they are—love, light, and limitless potential—by clearing what blocks them from feeling it.
Britney incorporates sound healing and breathwork into her sessions at Zen by Brit. Using singing bowls and intentional breath practices, sound healing supports nervous system regulation, emotional release, and deep somatic integration.

Every client is encouraged to sit in stillness after each session, allowing the nervous system to integrate the release. This moment of quiet becomes a spiritual reset, a soft landing, and a reminder that you are safe, held, and worthy of a life without fear, tension, or emotional residue.

Britney works alongside her partner Reid — a private chef and ancestral nutrition practitioner — who addresses the physiological roots of nervous system dysregulation through food. Together they offer a complete approach: somatic healing from the body up, and ancestral nutrition from the plate up.

If you’re ready to stop managing and start healing- she’s ready for you.

"Her level of skill, presence, and effectiveness is rare and invaluable."
